This one was my baby. It was a 1948 Chevy 2 Door. We put a late model rearend and actually used the original front suspension. It was a neat design. The top A Frames had a paddle on the pivot bar that ran through a box of grease. The friction of the paddle moving through the grease served as it's shock absorbers. We replaced the hubs with those from a 54 so we could use standard 5 bolt wheels. We rebuilt a 250 straight 6 and split the exhaust manifold to have true dual exhaust. The original headlights were shot, so we molded in headlights from a 1977 Monte Carlo. I also added the first oversized sound system I had ever seen. My math was all wrong and the speakers were not the right design for such a large trunk, but again: I had never seen it done at this point. Circa 1984.
